Outlaws Return to Lakeside Speedway for FVP Platinum Battery Shootout

CONCORD, NC – October 10, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series 40th Anniversary Season is coming to an end, but not before one final trip to the Midwest starting Friday, October 19 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS with the running of the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout. Last year’s FVP Platinum Battery Shootout was exactly that, a shootout.

World of Outlaws “Boot Hill Showdown” Fast Approaching at Dodge City Raceway Park!

DODGE CITY, KS - October 6, 2018 – Outlaws are on the horizon in Dodge City, Kansas. It’s just two weeks until the return of the Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car series to the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval in southwest Kansas. Can-Am Named Title Sponsor of World of Outlaws World Finals

CONCORD, NC — Oct. 3, 2018 — Dirt racing’s biggest spectacle of speed will have a new name this fall, as Can-Am – an industry-leading division of Bombardier Recreational Products – has signed on as title sponsor of the Nov. 1-3 World of Outlaws World Finals presented by Can-Am at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

World of Outlaws Shows Will Air Sundays on CBS Sports Network from October 21 through December 23

CONCORD, NC — October 1, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car and Late Model Series are excited to announce this year’s television partnership with the CBS Sports Network is set to commence next month, on October 21, with the airing of the 2018 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway.

The World of Outlaws and the DIRTvision production team worked with National Speed Sport News to produce eight hours of television, including shows from the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway (OH), the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (IL) — televised to a national audience for the first time ever — and the World of Outlaws World Finals presented by Can-Am at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (NC).

Volusia Speedway Park Begins Construction of New Main Grandstand

Comfort and access take priority, with multiple seating options for 48th DIRTcar Nationals

DELEON, FL — Sept. 24, 2018 — Volusia Speedway Park announced today a $500,000 overhaul of its main frontstretch grandstand and wall as part of ongoing efforts to provide a top-notch experience for fans and racers at the two-week long, season-opening DIRTcar Nationals. 

As the demand for reserved seating continues to grow — with standing-room-only crowds for World of Outlaws shows — the new grandstand will expand reserved seating options and make the overall experience more comfortable for fans. In addition to the grandstand overhaul, upgrades will include a new control tower, flag stand relocation, and additional safety barriers.

Sprint Car World Mourns Loss of Greg Hodnett

CONCORD, NC — Sept. 20, 2018 — It is with heavy hearts that we express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Sprint Car driver Greg Hodnett and the Heffner Racing team.

Hodnett, 49, of Spring Grove, PA, passed away following a crash during a Sprint Car race Thursday night at BAPS Motor Speedway.
