Inclement Weather Forces Cancelation of Mini Gold Cup Finale Tonight

Tickets can be exchanged for upcoming events or returned for a refund

CHICO, Calif. — March 24, 2012 — Tonight’s World of Outlaws race at Silver Dollar Speedway has been cancelled because of the combination of cold temperatures and the significant amount of rain in the area, which is forecast to move over the track in the afternoon and continue the rest of the weekend.

“The tremendous amount moisture in the ground from rains earlier in the week made the pit area treacherous on Friday night and prevented the staff at Silver Dollar Speedway from providing the outstanding racing surface that we normally see,” said Brian Carter, CEO of the World of Outlaws. “The cold wind and steady rain forecasted for this evening leave us little choice but to cancel tonight’s racing.”
