It was pretty easy to tell when Steve Kinser was on the track on Saturday night at Tri-State Speedway, because each time his machine took to the high-banked ¼-mile in his home state of Indiana, the crowd was on their feet cheering, and the flashbulbs from their cameras could be seen illuminating the track from one side to the other.

Steve Kinser has raced at hundreds of tracks from coast-to-coast in his career. One track that he had never taken a green flag at was USA Race Park in Tucson. In fact, until Friday afternoon, he had never even seen the semi-banked 3/8-mile oval in the Arizona desert. None of that mattered though on Friday night, as picked up the win in the 30-lap World of Outlaws A-Feature on Friday night, taking home the $10,000 top prize.
